COLLEGE STARS
Brilliant blockbuster available in February - watch this space!
Rosie goes to uni' in London but unknown to her the staff are holding an election to decide who will replace the current Head: Professor Howell-Johns. He has been ordered to retire by the Principal of the College - the last act in a long-running feud between the two men. However Howell-Johns tries to get-around this stab-in-the back by lobbying for the election of his dull right hand man. The plan is for the new puppet head to invite Howell-Johns back as Visiting Professor: "We'll just swop offices." But things go wrong and the politics gets down and dirty. . .
Quote from the Professor's secretary: 'This isn't parliament. This is a little world unto itself. Our dear Principal is the king who rules by divine right and Heads of Department are the barons who are constantly battling for his favour. We're the peasants of course! What the king says goes unless enough barons gang up against him and he loses his nerve. Someone should write a book...'
CJC (an ex-London university lecturer) has and here it is!
